About the Program
Downtown should feel welcoming and safe for everyone. That’s why ODIDA, in partnership with Lion’s Gate Security, offers the SafeWalk Program—a free service providing walking escorts within the Downtown Improvement District boundaries. Whether you’re leaving a late-night shift, walking to your car, or heading home from an evening out, SafeWalk is here to give you peace of mind.
How It Works
- Uniformed Lion’s Gate officers are available during patrol hours to walk with you to your destination within the district.
- Service is free for employees, residents, and visitors.
- Simply call the SafeWalk number, and an officer will meet you.

- Thurs–Sat: 7:00 PM – 3:00 AM
- Sun: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
