ODID Secures $24,000 Grant for 50 Faces, 50 Stories Campaign

The Omaha Downtown Improvement District Foundation (ODIDF) has received a $24,000 grant from the Nebraska Tourism Commission to support a new storytelling initiative in the Old Market: “50 Faces, 50 Stories.” ODIDA applied for and helped secure this funding to launch a campaign celebrating community voices and the vibrant spirit of Downtown in coordination with Old Market Association (OMA).

About the Project

“50 Faces, 50 Stories” is a locally produced video series that shines a light on the diverse people who shape the Old Market’s cultural fabric—residents, business owners, artists, and more. The campaign officially began rolling out on the Old Market’s social media platforms in March. These narratives help build connection, pride, and visibility for Downtown’s collective story. Why It Matters

This initiative brings attention to the human side of Downtown, reminding us that every person contributes to making Omaha’s urban core lively, inclusive, and authentic. By sharing these stories, ODIDA helps anchor our physical revitalization efforts with the powerful, authentic voices who call Downtown home.
