Safe Program
Downtown Omaha thrives when our residents, employees, and visitors feel comfortable and confident.

Security Forums
Every year the ODID hosts several security forums; one for Downtown residents and one for Downtown businesses. The forums feature presentations by the Police Department, Fire Department, and our private security give updates and answer questions and the ODID reports about what they are doing to keep Downtown safe. The resident’s forum usually focuses on personal safety tips and how to react to urban safety concerns. The business forum usually focuses on hot topics that year such as hospitality responsibilities or human trafficking. Lots of great discussions and answers are addressed at these forums.
