ODIDA Security Message

Security Reminder: The police have asked us to make sure we call 9-1-1 if there is any kind of incident such as a car break-in. No matter how small the crime may seem, they would like a report put in. This is how they can track trends happening in the area. 9-1-1 will prioritize the calls and may send someone out later to take that report.

Ways to keep your vehicle secure:
  • Use a garage or secure location whenever possible
  • Park in well-lit areas
  • Park near locations frequently used by pedestrians to avoid isolated areas
  • Roll up the windows and lock all doors
  • Don't keep loose change, purses, or electronics in plain sight
  • Secure the trunk, hatches, bed-mounted tool boxes and canopies
If you hear something suspicious (shattering glass) or see someone looking into vehicles, call 9-1-1.
