Reimagining Omaha: Car-Centric Documentary & Community Conversation
ODIDA Spring Public Forum
🚦 Omaha is at a crossroads. Will it remain car-centric, or can we rethink mobility?
For nearly a century, Omaha’s urban core was the city’s economic engine—until suburban expansion shifted us toward car dependency. Today, Omaha is one of the most car-centric cities in the U.S., with major consequences for safety, the environment, and economic development.
The Omaha Downtown Improvement District invites you to Reimagining Omaha: Car-Centric Documentary & Community Conversation, featuring a special screening of Car-Centric, a documentary by Joseph Giitter, ODIDA Activation Committee Chair, owner of Bohemian Photoworks, adjunct Professor at Bellevue University, local photographer & videographer. The film examines how transportation and city planning shape Omaha’s future and what steps we can take toward a more vibrant, connected city.
