In 2017, ODID began working with The Naturalist School, an organization which specializes in outdoor educational opportunities and the “re-wilding“ of our urban areas. Our consultants currently maintain most of the trees and plants within the historic Old Market district that are located on public sidewalks.
We are always looking for volunteers to assist our beautification efforts!

WHAT IS AN ARBORETUM?An Arboretum is an area devoted to specimen plantings of trees and shrubs. Distinct from a forest, nursery or park, it is in a sense an outdoor museum of trees. Arboretums feature many varieties of trees and shrubs that are grown for research, educational or ornamental purposes, and cultivated for exhibition. |
