Theft from Motor Vehicle Prevention

'Tis the season of holiday shopping and sadly the uptick of car break-ins. Most theft from motor vehicles are crimes of opportunity through unlocked doors and open windows. Don't be a victim.
  • Lock your doors and roll up windows.
  • Do not leave valuables in plain sight or on the front seat. Secure them in the truck or hidden spaces.
  • Park in well-lit areas where your car can be seen.
  • Secure the trunk, hatches, bed-mounting tool boxes, and canopies.
  • Activate your alarm.
We want you to enjoy this joyful season, so prevent a mishap happening to you.
